Ohio needs you to answer the Second Call to Duty by becoming a poll worker. Voters look to poll workers to help them use voting machines, navigate the polls, and make their voices heard as Americans. Help support our democracy by signing up to be a poll worker (PEO) today!
The base pay for a PEO is $225.00. Training classes are held at the Board of Elections in Norwood in the month preceding an election, showing you every aspect and responsibility of working the polls. You’ll serve during a brief organizational meeting at your assigned polling location the Monday evening before Election Day, and the entirety of Election Day, roughly 5:30 am – 8:30 pm.
To work the polls, you
- Must be a registered voter in Hamilton County, Ohio
- Must be able to read and write in the English language
- Must have transportation to the polling place and to the training classes
- NOT be a candidate for any office to be voted on at the polling place at the election
- NOT be a convicted felon
