TODAY IS NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY
Hamilton County, OH – Now is the time to register to vote or update a change in address and/or name for the November 5, 2024 Presidential General Election. The deadline to register or to update your registration is Monday, October 7, 2024.
This includes voters who may have changed their name or moved within Ohio and must update their registration to Hamilton County, those who have moved within Hamilton County and those who may have moved from another state and need to register in Hamilton County.
“Voters must register and vote where they currently live,” says Director Sherry Poland. “If you have moved or changed your name since you last voted, it is easy to update your record before the next election.”
“Make sure you are ready for the Presidential Election. National Voter Registration Day is a great time to check your registration status on the Board’s website (VoteHamiltonCountyOhio.gov),” adds Deputy Director Alex Linser.
Voter Registration Forms are also available at local libraries and BMV offices. You can also call the Board (513-632-7000) to have one mailed to you. Residents can register or update information online at voteohio.gov or in person at the Board of Elections office at 4700 Smith Road in Norwood. 17-year olds who will be 18 by November 5, 2024, can also register and vote.
Once registered, voters may choose one of three ways to vote:
- Absentee Vote by Mail begins October 8, 2024. Download an application at the Board’s website or call to have one mailed to you. Track the status of your application and ballot on the Board of Elections website by clicking the “Track Absentee Ballot” button.
- Early In-Person Voting at the Board of Elections: Visit the Board’s website for a complete list of Early In-Person Voting days and hours (an Early Voting Calendar is attached to this email).
- In-Person Voting on Election Day at the voter’s polling location: Polls will be open from 6:30 am – 7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Find your polling location on the Board of Elections website or watch your mailbox. The Board is mailing polling location confirmation cards to all registered Hamilton County voters in October.
NOTE: The Ohio Secretary of state has mailed all registered voters an absentee Vote by Mail application and voters may also receive multiple Vote by Mail applications from non-profits and political campaigns. They are not from the Board of Elections. If you have submitted one application, there is no need to submit another.
