Last Week of Early Voting for May 6th Primary/Special Election:

What Hamilton County Voters Need to Know

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio – With Election Day fast approaching, voters will want to be aware of several upcoming deadlines for the Tuesday, May 6th Primary/Special Election.

The last day to request a Vote by Mail ballot is Tuesday, April 29th. Voters can download a Vote by Mail Application on the Board of Elections website (votehamiltoncountyohio.gov/ ) or can call the Board at the new phone number (513-946-8500) to request a Vote by Mail Application. Voters may return the application by mail or in person at the BOE. Applications must be received by 8:30pm on Tuesday, April 29th. The Early Vote Center will be open extended hours on April 29th (7:30am-8:30pm) to accept applications.

I have my Vote by Mail ballot - what do I do now? Once you have your ballot, you have two different options to return your voted ballot to the BOE:

  1. Mail your ballot back to the Board of Elections with $.73 cents of postage (or 1 Forever stamp). Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Monday, May 5th – and received at the Board by Saturday, May 10th.
  2. Save the cost of postage and drop off your ballot at the Board of Elections. Vote by Mail ballots must be received at the Board by the deadline of 7:30pm on Election Day, Tuesday, May 6th.

* The 24/7 Drop Box is available only to voters returning their own personal ballot. Voters returning a ballot on behalf of a family member or a person with a disability can return those ballots during the Board’s business hours and must complete a Ballot Delivery Attestation (Form 12-P).

The Early Vote Center offers extended hours for the last week of early voting (An Election Calendar is attached):
