TODAY IS NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY
Hamilton County, OH – Now is the time to register to vote or update your address and/or name for the November 8, 2022 General Election. You must be registered to vote by October 11 to participate in the election. The Hamilton County Board of Elections office in Norwood will be open until 9pm on October 11 to register or update your registration. You may update your address within Ohio on October 11 by 11:59pm at VoteHamiltonCountyOhio.gov. Forms are also available at local libraries, BMV sites, or one can be mailed to you by calling the Board at 513-632-7000.
“National Voter Registration Day is recognized yearly on the fourth Tuesday in September to raise awareness of voter registration opportunities,” says Director Sherry Poland. “If you have moved or changed your name since you last voted, it is easy to update your record before the November election.”
“Hamilton County voters can check their registration status at our website, VoteHamiltonCountyOhio.gov,” says Deputy Director Alex Linser. “If you still need to register, download the form from our site or visit our office in Norwood between 8am-4pm Monday through Friday.”
Once registered, voters may choose one of three ways to cast a ballot:
1. Absentee Voting by Mail begins October 12. The Ohio Secretary of State has mailed all registered voters an application to vote absentee by mail. If you have not received one, download from our website or call the Board to have one mailed to you. Please note voters may receive multiple applications from non-profits and political campaigns. These are not from the Board of Elections but may be acceptable. Check the status of your request at VoteHamiltonCountyOhio.gov. Once you have submitted an application, there is no need to submit another.
2. Early In-Person voting at the Board of Elections in Norwood starts October 12. A list of hours is available at our website.
3. Election Day in-person Voting is at each voter’s polling location. Polls will be open 6:30 am – 7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 8. The Board of Elections is mailing polling location notices to all registered voters in Hamilton County the week of October 10. You can also find it at our website.
